1. Fridge – empty, unplug and prop open.

2. Freezer – empty, unplug and prop open.

3. Dishwasher – turn off and prop open.

4. Washing machine – turn off and prop open.

5. Kettle/coffee machine – empty and unplug.

6. Cooker – turn off at mains. 

7. Food – bin or take home all fresh food. Don’t forget to clear any fruit bowls and the bread bin.

8. Kitchen bins (general, recycling and food) – empty all 3 bins and put the bin bags in your car to take home.

9. Bathroom bins – empty and take home too.

10. TV and Wi-Fi – unplug.

11. Take a photo of the oil gauge the side of the microwave and email to Rob (wyatt5@btinternet.com).

12. Boiler – scroll heating and water select button to the off position and then, once the boiler is off, unplug it at the mains.

13. Turn off water at stopcock (clockwise/righty tightly), then run cold kitchen tap until pressure eases - for 30 seconds or so.

14. In the fusebox, click off (down) the switches as shown on the picture below leaving just three switches shown below in the up position (ie left on).

15. Windows – check all windows are closed and locked.

16. Close the blind on the front door.

17. Check all lights are turned off, including external lights (both front and back door).

18. Lock the front door and replace both front door and french door keys in the kitchen cupboard.

19. Lock the french doors behind you using the key from the key safe and put it back in the key safe leaving the dials at 0000.
